Maria Augusta, the youngest of 7 brothers, began to learn the linen weaving craft when she was a child with Mrs. Aninhas. “I was 10 years old and my parents sent me there”.
When she was 12 years old, she started to weave and to sell and thus continues until today.
In her workpieces, variety highlights. The combination of techniques (“rifado”, thread work, cords), colours and suiting house decoration result into really different workpieces, with high appreciation and market demand.
